Hi, after the Windows update your RTX 3080ti is not performing as expected. It’s now averaging around 255mhz instead of the expected 2000mhz. Performance in VR and regular games has dropped significantly. Previously you maintained about 60FPS in Forza Horizon 5 with Raytracing at 1080p, but now it’s only around 26FPS, with roughly 4FPS in VR sessions. I suspect the OS is capping the GPU’s power usage, as the usage in Task Manager reaches 93% during games. Everything seems to work after reinstalling drivers, but performance returns only after a restart. This happens every time you restart your PC. Your system details are: Windows 11, 12600k processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD, running Windows with another OS and a gaming PC. The motherboard is Asus Rog Strix Z-690i, paired with Corsair SF 750 PSU.

What you tried: reinstall drivers, updated Windows, changed chipset drivers, set Windows energy mode to “highest performance,” adjusted graphics settings in NVIDIA Control Panel to “prefer high performance,” and looked up advice suggesting switching the energy mode to balanced and then back. Unfortunately, those steps didn’t help. You mentioned seeing performance differences in photos.

Any suggestions?

Consider using graphics card utilities such as Msi Afterburner, adjust the power limit to full capacity, and observe if it resolves the problem.

Wow, I was really surprised I hadn’t thought of this before. Thanks a lot! It’s disappointing having to keep another program running in the background, but it’s definitely more reliable than constantly reinstalling drivers each time I restart.

It's asking for the precise model number of the 3080Ti and mentions a potential firmware update available.
