Hey there. My computer has been having some issues lately. In certain games like Battlefield 5, Sea of Thieves, and Hitman 3, I often experience very low frame rates—sometimes just about 1 fps. It doesn’t occur all the time, and it varies between titles. In Hitman, the lag seems to appear only after loading a game, not in the lobby. The problem doesn’t affect other games in the same way. Notably, holding down Alt + Tab shows everything running smoothly in the preview window, but the game slows down when I return. Running the game in the background also seems to slow down my whole system. Closing a single Chrome tab takes 2-3 seconds when the game is sluggish, but it works fine if the game runs normally. Appreciate any advice you can give!

PC details: Windows 10 Home 64bit, MSI Click Bios 5 v7C95A, RTX 2080 Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB GDScript, TridentZ Neo 3600MHz, MSI B550M Pro VDH, WiFi WD Black SN850, 1TB EVGA Supernova, 750W. The GPU and CPU are part of a custom water cooling setup.

Check CPU speeds and temperatures while under load. SSD performance and condition during stress. If this is your BIOS, you're six versions behind; updating to agesa 1.2.0.7 should help. 1207 AGESA works well. Have you installed the newest AMD chipset drivers from AMD?

CPU hits 86% use, operating at roughly 4.2 GHz, temperature is 67°C. SSD status is normal, dropping to 1% under stress. These metrics were recorded during Hitman 3 testing. BIOS and chipset drivers were reinstalled but didn’t help.
