No, there isn't a mod or special launcher that forces it to use four cores.

I don’t know anything about that. I own Arma 3 and it behaves strangely on my machine. Not that I’m familiar with it. Another player has Arma 3 installed on an AMD FX 8320 that’s been overclocked to 4.7ghz and somehow avoids lag.

Arma is a nice game, though sometimes it gets a bit jumpy on my 4770 when I play one match. I usually see around 17 frames per second, but I’m sure it won’t drop too far from 60 fps.

AMD processors perform well in Arma I, achieving roughly 55-90 FPS during single-player sessions with an i5 4690K.

Arma is incredibly well-optimized, it's not worth a second thought.

This setting is also available in the launcher. You can open MyDocuments/Arma3/Arma3.cfg in Notepad, find the two GPU parameters set to 1000, change them to 1 and save. It should improve FPS a bit. Also experiment with different servers. On some platforms you'll always hit around 20FPS, while others may drop below 30FPS even with 30FPS on your machine. On certain servers I reach only 15FPS with my PC, but on others I see 50-70FPS working well.

It depends on whether it's multiplayer. In multiplayer mode, servers handle things like Battle Royale, where performance varies—some setups can reach 60, while others struggle to hit 20 even with powerful hardware.
