I adjusted the paste on my CPU and achieved a 29500 on R23, everything seemed normal. Later, I checked again because the room was colder and expected a slightly better result, but it only reached 15200. It has remained at that score without any changes, no BIOS updates or modifications. Could this be my i7 finally overheating? The temperatures aren’t even near 90°C. Do you know which settings might have changed? Also, I’m using a 280 EK AIO and attached the HwiNFO data log file. Test.CSV
Reviewed the logs, it seems the CPU hits 5.4GHz briefly for under a minute then abruptly stops, fluctuating between 1 and 5GHz. Core usage falls from full to under 20%, temperatures stay very low (max 70°C, then 35–45°C when clocks drop). No thermal problems detected. It appears CBR23 was handling background work with minimal priority. Are there other processes active at the same time?
I could handle a steady run for about ten minutes, though the power draw of 160W suggests it’s managing some load.
