Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with my PC. The screen is tearing badly in all the games I play. When I try to enable VSync, it actually lowers the frame rate. Please help!

if v-sync works and prevents screen tearing, use it. those frames lost are just wasted cycles on your system.

Sorry for the bad English. If V-sync works and prevents screen tearing, use it. The frames you lose are just frames that don’t appear on the screen and make your computer work harder. The only drawback is that using V-sync increases screen latency compared to when you weren’t using it.
Thank you for the response Aofekiko. Another consideration could be adjusting the maximum framerate based on the game, which would help eliminate input lag (assuming V-sync is disabled) and significantly cut down screen tearing. What game are we talking about?
