It's actually quite significant, honestly. I'm feeling really down these days. However, I learned from Bioshock that blood is only cut a few places—if that's all I need to focus on.

It’s understandable to feel disappointed, but the removal of the swastikas is a positive development for German players. They didn’t alter the gameplay—no cutscenes or mechanics removed—and simply addressed content that is prohibited in your country. Knowing they are Nazis is clear, but it doesn’t significantly affect the experience.

This simply means they plan to proceed, if you just go along with it, I don't believe any Germans should be purchasing these games—it's about principle. Still, at least I think it's positive that they clearly label it; it wouldn't be like it was a steams fault. You might have bought a real physical copy in a store and never realized it was a censored version.

It's disappointing to note that changes won't be easy. Examining the German laws—like the Jugendschutzgesetz and Jugendmedienschutz—reveals just how rigid this framework is. The constitution places these regulations at very high priority, meaning they're unlikely to shift significantly, particularly regarding video games.

jep, just a bunch of assholes. The sad thing is that sometimes you see like some "video game experts" on TV who are 65y/o Ladys who have no idea whatsoever.
