Both items were purchased as sets of 8x8GB or 4x16GB. Since these cards had previously been used in different systems, I’m uncertain if all four were compatible with the current setup. Initially, I bought them at 2R/channel, which provided a performance improvement in one of my scenarios. Now, having four sticks from that kit in another quad channel configuration is the situation.

Absolutely, I share that view too! It seems like I might have this information somewhere, or I can retrieve it again. I just don't want to waste more money on DDR4 anymore. With the shift to GPU-intensive tasks, I'm not focusing as much on that side now.
It's a matter of chance with RAM. It hurts knowing you lost out, but this hardware is quite outdated—maybe the motherboard is failing.
What would happen if you used all four dimmers while lowering the speed to 3066?
It appears to be a very particular setup, just this one piece from the collection. I tested it at 2133, but it isn’t recognized by that system at all.
