If I were you, I wouldn’t run a 5950x without a heat sink. It’s the CPU itself. I like pushing hardware limits, but not in that extreme way. Everyone who promised otherwise should show us a video to check out these safety features.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, it should work if you just install the new CPU and set the heatsink in BIOS. The stock AMD heatsink should fit the 2600x without issues.

I understand your perspective. It seems like adding extra risk isn't necessary here. I can enable the old HS during the fast startup. Thanks for all the guidance. Despite the mixed advice, it's a valuable practice for discussing ideas and shaping my own views based on others' insights.
