Hello everyone, I'm using an AMD FX8320 (4.4GHZ OC'd) CPU paired with a Sapphire Radeon R9 270X Toxic Edition (2GB DDR5). While playing a game, the CPU runs at about 20-30%, but the GPU hits its peak of 99% at 1220MHZ Core clock and 1550MHZ memory clock. Is this causing a bottleneck? RAM is Corsair Vengeance cmz8gx3m1a1600c10. Would adding another 8GB RAM help? If yes, are there other options besides swapping the hardware?

It's typical to notice the CPU running at a lower percentage while the GPU stays near 100%, especially in games that rely heavily on graphics. However, some titles can be CPU-intensive too, such as Beamng.drive, CSGO, and certain esports games.

Your GPU sets the pace, so the answer is no. There will always be some limitation, whether it's software or hardware. A bottleneck only becomes a problem if you aim for higher performance, and in that case, faster hardware is the only solution.
