We were discussing 3200 CL16 and 3600 CL18 with identical latency, so they should perform similarly.

Obviously not, since the 3600 offers more bandwidth. The gap should probably be smaller with a 5800X3D because of the V-Cache, though it’s hard to say for sure.

You can use a 2x16 setup, yes. Those parts fit the 3600 CL18 standard.
