Hello, I'm trying to discuss this and check if I'm overreacting or if a remount might be necessary for my CPU cooler. The post mentions I have a 13900K and use the Noctua NHD15s with a 120mm front tower fan. Because of my RAM height, I can't install a second 140mm fan, which leads to thermal throttling during synthetic tests like cenibench and stress tests. My game performance is usually in the upper 70s to mid-80s, with occasional spikes into the 90s when loading heavy content. I'm wondering if this is typical behavior for this CPU with my current setup or if I might have mounted it incorrectly. Any advice would be really helpful.

The 13900k operates very hot, which is typical for this model. To achieve cooler temperatures, an upgrade to liquid cooling is likely necessary.

The core voltage under load is what you're asking about. You can adjust the VCore offset to negative values and a small positive number like 0.05 to assist slightly.

The power draw during a cinebench session typically ranges from 270 watts. Single runs at 250 watts or higher suggest the cooler is effectively in contact.

Which motherboard are you using? You can adjust your AC_LL and DC_LL settings to match the stock performance. I’m on an Asus Z790 Hero with LLC4, AC_LL 1.02, and DC_LL 0.06 for regular use. My vcore stays under 100% load at around 1.137 to 1.14v, which results in a very efficient machine.

Your peak output was 265W, and now it's dropping to 125W. This could be related to the Intel power limits being activated.

I'll check the available choices for managing the temperature and consider exploring a liquid cooler if needed.
