I set my RAM to 2800 but don't need to change the voltage or keep it at 1.5V either. It's been running Prime95 without issues for 30 minutes.

Have you tested it at the standard 1.2V? Raising the voltage can be stressful for electronic parts, so keep it as low as possible. Gaming and productivity tasks will perform better than Prime95.

i've reached 3000 mhz so far, no blue screen, just leaving it at 1.2v. i'll have my brother check it at a higher frequency.

Wait. You mentioned you had it at 1.5v, but I thought we'd adjusted it. The standard voltage for that RAM is 1.2v. Does the BIOS display 1.5v without you changing it?
