Vehicle recognized yet fails to power on.
I acquired a new 970 EVO last week for use as a boot drive. After cloning my old SSD and resolving some issues, everything seemed fine. After a few days, I powered on the PC and it booted from the old drive. In File Explorer, the drive appears and all files are accessible, but when I attempt to boot from it, nothing happens. I ran the troubleshooter and tried restoring it, but neither solution worked. I’m considering cloning it again, though I’m unsure if that will prevent future problems. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You're experiencing an issue where the Windows loading circle appears on startup but doesn't progress beyond its initial state. Disconnecting certain drives hasn't resolved the problem. Interestingly, when you open the boot menu with all connected drives, the only available option is the new SSD, which remains stuck at the loading screen. Removing the new SSD still allows a proper boot using your original drive.
I’d attempt to restart again. It seems like the login is being corrupted. I’ve experienced this several times on Windows 7 following problematic updates, often needing a recovery process. However, it hasn’t happened on Windows 10.
