This might not be the best spot for this discussion. Hey everyone, I’m having trouble with Vegas Pro 12.0. When I try to play a video recorded in Dxtory using the codec "OpenEncodeVFW Encoder using AMD APP/VCE," I see an error message saying something about opening files and codecs failing. I’m wondering if sharing this version with a friend could be causing the issue. My English isn’t great, but thanks for your help!

Use a different format for the recording. The previous version should be converted or replaced with another codec.

You're using only MP4 format and prefer sticking with it because it works well for you.

It's not easy turning things over. You might bring them in for Movie Maker, then render them with special options and attempt the import once more.

Sure, it doesn't matter whether it's AVI or not if the codec is unusual. Go with what I mentioned otherwise, or just use a different codec for recording.

I know some effective codecs. You need high quality with low file size—like 720p at 30 FPS for about 15 minutes using around 800MB.
