Hello everyone, I just acquired this motherboard and am attempting to overclock my CPU (FX-8370). I’ve managed to keep the system stable at Prime 95 for about 20 minutes, but I notice significant voltage drops—from around 1.5 volts to possibly 1.2 during testing. Can anyone here suggest settings that might reduce these voltage fluctuations on this board? All power-saving options seem disabled.
Load line calibration should be adjusted to 100% or higher, exploring the available higher options. Off topic: HT should remain at 2000MHz as there is limited advantage from frequencies above 2000MHz; setting the NB frequency to 3000MHz or higher can provide significant performance improvements.
i'm working with HWmonitor and regularly monitoring the cpu's frequency and voltage during prime 95. i notice drops in frequency from 4,7 to 1,4 for the core's MHz and changes in voltage from 1,5 to 1,2.

Your answer...
You have power-saving features enabled. When the CPU is under full load in Prime 95, the voltage will be 1.5V at 4.7GHz, but if the CPU isn't used, it drops to 1.4GHz and the voltage is set to 1.2V by the motherboard.
Check your BIOS and ensure all power-saving options are turned off.
Thank you for your prompt reply, but as I mentioned earlier I have turned off all power-saving features (disabled) while explaining this. I’m new to ASRock mobos and might be missing something, though I’m pretty sure it’s not the issue because under CPU configuration I’ve disabled everything and in the OC tweak tab as well. Maybe there’s another solution?
Cool'n'Quite is disabled correctly? The Turbo core needs to be disabled in the BIOS as well.
