I’m facing a bit of trouble setting up RE BAR on my Asus Rog Strix Rtx 2070. I have the 8GB OC edition, but when trying to enable RE BAR in BIOS it shows 4G decoding and the re size bar is active, while the GPU Z says it’s not enabled. I’ve been searching online and think the issue might be with my GPU’s VBIOS needing an update. I’m worried about damaging the GPU if I make mistakes. Here are some links showing what’s currently set:

My GPU model is ROG-STRIX-RTX2070-O8G-GAMING, serial JAC0YZ0781329CP.
PC details: MSI A520M A PRO BIOS version, Ryzen 5600G, 8GB RAM, RTX 2070 OC 8GB, FSP MX650 PSU.

After clearing the CMOS, it's recommended to disconnect from the power source and remove the battery. Then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any remaining energy, and after about half an hour, reinsert the battery. One more point: the ReBar is officially compatible with RTX 3000 and higher models.
This is why I inquired about your PSU. If you chose an RTX 3000 series graphics card, because of its high transient power demands, a standard PSU might not suffice, even if it's brand new.
Currently running BIOS version 7C96v1J, ensure you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. Attempt to update the BIOS to 7C96v1K or 7C96v1L1 (beta version), then reset the CMOS after confirming the update was applied correctly.
I'm concerned about potentially damaging my GPU if this isn't done properly.
Please keep in mind that the BIOS update process carries a risk of bricking your graphics card, and no one can guarantee it will succeed.

This is why I inquired about your power supply unit. If you chose an RTX 3000 series graphics card, because of its high transient power demands, a standard PSU might not suffice, even if it's brand new.
It seems the RX 2070 doesn't support REBAR, and I'm still weighing options for upgrading to a 3000 series GPU or the RX 9060 XT. I bought my PSU in 2018, possibly to find a better one. There might be a way to enable REBAR on the RX 2070 using a mod like NVstrapsrebar, but it could be risky. If it's too complicated, I'd rather not risk damaging my GPU or motherboard.
