So... I just finished playing CS:GO. In the game, some players were smurfing, and I got a bit too friendly with them. Suddenly, my internet dropped; after about thirty seconds it came back. When I rejoined, the smurfers greeted me saying, "Nice IP kid. Get ddosed, lol." I asked how they obtained my IP, since I thought the only way to get someone's IP was through a Steam friend request. They told me someone at Vavle had shared it with them. At first I doubted it, but later I figured it might be true. It’s pretty weird that a Vavle employee would hand over my IP like that.
You could try other methods to obtain an IP address, such as using a proxy server or a VPN service.
