Hi,
I use an Asus Z87M-plus with an i7 4790k and am unsure which AI Suite version to install. The ASUS product page (dated 2015) suggests downloading AI Suite version 1, but I’ve already downloaded version 3, which seems to be functioning well. Version 3 offers more features and its temperature readings are lower—about 32°C compared to 35°C for version 1. I’m wondering if both versions could work with my CPU and motherboard. Could the difference in temperatures be due to newer settings in version 3 that improve cooling?

can you avoid controlling your fans?
if that's the only goal, it doesn't matter which version you choose.
just configure your custom fan settings and that's enough.
you won't need to run the software again unless you wish to make adjustments.
simply turn off any "start with Windows" settings.

the temperature stats should come from the motherboard, which makes me wonder if the software version would really matter unless it affects reporting time or something like that.
the fan settings might also influence this situation.
if Fan Xpert has distinct configurations for III compared to the original, that could impact the outcome.

I believe this might be true. Would version 3 be preferable over version 1, given that a cooler CPU temperature should improve performance?
