Hi, your setup with a Corsair Vengeance 16GB at 3000MHz in single channel seems fine. Adding an 8GB Corsair Vengeance stick is also possible without issues. Let me know if you need more details! Thanks!

As long as the speeds remain consistent, otherwise they can be adjusted to match the lowest RAM speed.

The performance depends on the specific motherboard design. In your case, the laptop uses the slower 1333 MHz stick even though it supports faster speeds, which is typical for older systems. Matching a 4GB stick with a 16GB stick would limit Windows to using only 16GB total, but newer boards can handle larger capacities more efficiently.
