I own a Hynix (1333MHz DDR3) motherboard, while my friend uses an older PC with HyperX DDR3 RAM. I wondered if combining Hynix and HyperX could work, even though HyperX is 1600MHz.

His RAM is 1866MHz yet either way 4 1333MHz sticks perform better than 2, indeed
