Hey everyone, I recently purchased an Xeon X5670 and was expecting six cores, but when I checked via Device Manager, it showed only four. It seems there are two different models or versions available. That’s why I’m curious about the difference in core count between them.
When checking the device manager, you see 12 xeon x5670 units—this could be a mistake since the CPU was just installed.
shows in the command prompt the details of a CPU from Windows: address width, architecture, availability, status, clock speed, voltage, and other technical attributes. It also displays system information such as processor type, revision, and virtualization support. The output includes error codes, manufacturer data, and performance metrics like core count and power management features.
NVM, I resolved it. Just needed to open msconfig and turn off the limit cpus setting. Thanks.
