That makes sense, so I’m planning to upgrade to an SSD. Just because I’ll be doing a clean install of Windows doesn’t change that.

HDD isn't really an SSD, but I didn't worry much. I had an SSD for about seven years, changing it every three months (or more often because of installation issues). It failed mainly when I left my PC running without shutting it down while checking something else, not because of dead cells. For most people, worrying about this isn't necessary.
