Overwatch suits players around 5 to 19, with quick action and minimal need to gather ammo on the map. Health packs are spread out, or you depend on teammates for healing—especially on maps without a Payload focus. Rounds usually last 5 to 10 minutes, but can finish in as little as 2.5 minutes or stretch to 20 minutes (especially in competitive play). Team Fortress 2 is better for higher skill levels, depending on game mode, map, and server. A casual community map might work like a standard CTF event, while a 24/7 TDM server could blend CTF with a map, focusing more on fun than strategy.

I believe Titanfall 2 fits better than Call of Duty or Battlefield because it includes more tactical elements when entering and exiting Titan, along with expansive maps.

These titles remain highly casual experiences even with their complex design. If Gears of War scores a 100, where would you place games like Insurgency, Red Orchestra, and Arma?

I'm unfamiliar with those titles and haven't experienced a kill confirmation mechanic recently. Could you clarify what you're referring to?

For online shooters, TOXIKK and Reflex are emerging titles that fall under the run-and-gun multiplayer arena FPS category. A focused ten-game selection for each subgenre could be more practical. For instance, a curated list highlighting story-driven FPS games, military-themed FPS titles, or pure run-and-gun experiences would work well.

Well, the choice really depends on what you're looking for. If you're aiming for a broad range, mil-sim games might be the best fit, though they're even more distinct from Doom than most mainstream shooters. Personally, I'd place Gears/COD around the average, Counterstrike/CS:GO a bit higher, Insurgency a touch higher, and Arma III/Red Orchestra/Squad near the top.

I believe your scale doesn't translate well. It's not just about the gameplay feel—realistic or arcadey—but also the layout of levels (like corridors versus open spaces) and elements such as cover systems, which often spark debate.
