Vanilla version of World of Warcraft
Vanilla version of World of Warcraft
I really want to try Vanilla WoW because I haven't actually raided or leveled before. Since it takes a long time to reach 60, I'd prefer doing it with more players (at least two others). You just need to be online often and stay engaged when things get dull. The server will be Feenix WoW unless someone knows of a better one. (Just like Blizzard) Once Corecraft (another Blizz-like TBC server that hasn't been released yet) comes out, I might switch over to experience it firsthand, even though I've played TBC—I'm unlikely to get much feedback, but it could be worth a try. Just message me if you're interested!
I'm curious about how private servers handle their performance. There are many issues with bugs and poor balancing, making it a frustrating experience. If Feenix offers something better, please let me know so I can try it out.
I understand ICE-WOW and Molten wow are decent, though they're often Cata or Lich servers.
Yeah, I'll probably play wotlk servers when corecraft releases one. They've been working on and perfectioning their server for years now to be exactly the same as retail. Every little detail is getting fixed. By the time they release a wotlk server, I might join that one, but that's years away. The cool thing is, they start with the content from the first wotlk patch to 3.3.5a content
I've actually played molten wow with a friend, and it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a private server. The undead starting zones are broken in so many places. Of course you link to a hot blonde playing lol But yeah, I'll tell you.
Having played both in Vanilla and on Feenix's vanilla I can tell you it's really nothing alike. The biggest part of what made Vanilla WoW amazing was not the content but the community, and you will never ever get that again. It's sad to admit but people have changed. The content was awesome but the mindset of the players have changed so much that it really isn't any more enjoyable than "live" WoW. Not to mention the fact that no matter how good a private server is never going to work the exact same, and there's always odd issues that are kinda gamebreaking.
Vanilla wow was super weird with all the slang, but the grinding kept going... THE GRIND... I’m still waking up with nightmares.
