Vanguard destroyed my computer.
Vanguard destroyed my computer.
I tried playing LOL again after a long time, but it didn’t work. I restarted it, and now my PC is broken. When I try to reboot, it shows a black screen. The RGB controls on the fans aren’t working, and it crashes right away when I press power. Even after unplugging it for two minutes, it starts but keeps looping through drive checks and repairs. Honestly, everything seems to have stopped because of the Windows update. Did anyone else experience this? I’m really confused.
You may need to enable Windows Secure Boot. If it was activated by the game, adjustments might be necessary. Activate UEFI in the BIOS settings.
And I thought my sentences were too long... The last time I saw that screen was while I was still using MBR on my machine, but from what I know, Windows 11 doesn't officially support MBR anymore. Yes, Vanguard needs secure boot turned on. You'll have to search through the UEFI settings.
I managed to get it running again after a mental breakdown. After 20 restarts and some system changes, it came back on its own. It’s wild—seemed like someone was teasing me when they said this would kill PCs. Thanks for the update!
Another victim of Chinese malware has been reported. It often happens this way—don’t worry, you’re not alone. Luckily, you managed to remove it. If I were you, I’d check for any leftover files or services manually, just in case the program installed anything unexpected.
The site offers a comprehensive guide for completely removing and disabling the service.
