I've observed a shift in how the mics function recently—the audio now sounds cleaner and smoother, similar to using Skype or Teamspeak. There were no updates on the day it began, nor the previous day either. Fellow players I've interacted with have also noticed this change. This is the only CS:GO update I've really enjoyed so far. Are you experiencing anything alike?

Teamspeak truly sets the benchmark for top-notch audio in games. I compare the sound quality between TS players and those using VOIP during BF4. I personally experience both.

It seems the updated audio format isn't working properly in CS:GO.

The VOIP is great, and CS:GO is already quite solid.

Before the 5/4/15 change it was standard, but now it resembles Skype/TS.

Could this cause a malfunction making microphones sound distorted or altered? Or are some people just making fun of it?

Hello everyone, thank you all for your replies. I’m not sure why I didn’t find any relevant topics or videos, but I’ve looked this up so far.

All participants join in. Many also use abbreviations. Using VOIP helps with teamwork when everyone isn't relying on teamspeak.
