Valve might choose not to release Half-Life 3.
An internal anonymous Valve source has hinted that HL3 might never see the light of day. This news is upsetting for many players, though releasing it wouldn't harm their finances. Following the backlash after Mass Effect 3, they believe it's too risky to launch now. For more details, check The Know's video edited on July 25, 2015 by Godlygamer23.

I've completely overlooked this before. I didn't expect it to be released anytime soon. It's not exactly a big deal. At this point in the game, I just wanted to watch the story wrap up. It didn't need to be the greatest ever... Not sure why they think such high standards are expected. Every HL title has been solid. Unless it was really bad... why not make it? It doesn't make sense unless it's completely terrible.
It would be great if Valve once more released a first-person shooter game...
