Valve Hardware Survey
Valve Hardware Survey
Sharing some wild conspiracy ideas, huh? 😄 Let me know if you want to dive deeper!
Check the September findings, but remember not every steam user is asked each month.
Uncertain about the difficulty of changing their survey text to mention CPU cores instead of CPUs... Alright.
This result comes from just over 12,600 participants. It’s likely most respondents were more dedicated than typical users, rather than casual ones who might not engage deeply with surveys. I don’t believe many of the less serious laptop users who often post in Reddit polls actually took the time to complete it.
It seems the data reflects a large sample size, making it reliable for the overall picture. The count of 80:20 intel:amd likely comes from a comprehensive survey. Steam’s listing of four-core i7s as a CPU is accurate since those processors are indeed multi-core units.
The values seem elevated; reducing them to 0.0003% appears more reliable. It seems this survey primarily comes from PCMR users. Also, the 12.6k participants are quite small.
