Hello, With Source 2's release, do you believe [game here] 3 will appear? The number 3 has always been a topic of humor among fans, but I'm curious if they intended all the third installments to be on Source 2. Are you expecting HL2-Ep3/HL3, Portal 3, L4D3, or similar titles?

Portal 3 and HL3 are confirmed. Yet the outcome was disappointing. I felt a bit let down, though not too much.

Valve seemed to suggest Source 2 wasn't in development until they made the announcement. Probably, they're quietly moving things forward without public updates. Since Valve isn't publicly traded, there are no investors to track progress. They can proceed at their own pace while Steam continues to generate revenue. 1,337! This was true when I wrote it.
