Hi there, I upgraded my PC a year ago and am having trouble installing Valorant. It seems the issue might be with hardware or drivers conflicting with Valorant’s Vanguard service. The main symptoms are that after installation, I can’t open the Start menu, opening files takes up to two minutes and sometimes crashes. Restarting Explorer from Task Manager doesn’t work, and I can’t access many control panel features like uninstalling programs. I’ve tried removing Valorant from startup, but the problem still occurs even when it’s disabled. The behavior changes if I leave the computer running for 10–20 minutes. My system specs are: Ryzen 5800X, 16GB Corsair Dominator RAM, ROG STRIX B550-A motherboard, RTX 3070, and ASUS Aura program. I haven’t reinstalled Windows yet. I suspect possible clashes with my Scarlett 2i2 Gen 1 interface drivers or the Aura software, which could affect LED settings when Valorant is on or off.

You're deciding where to set up the games launcher. Did you observe if the problem begins once you install the launcher or when you start playing a specific game?

The application is placed automatically in the standard folder, located at C:/Riot Games/VALORANT. It clearly relates to the Vanguard VGC service or the Vanguard item during setup. After uninstalling, all issues disappear.

Did you review Task Manager for troubleshooting? Which application consumes the highest system resources during these difficulties?
