I added extra RAM bringing the total to 12GB. Tested it initially, everything worked smoothly during the first match. After connecting the charger and moving on to the second game, performance began to decline. FPS dropped below 10 frames, causing significant instability. Here are the recorded metrics at that point.
CPU speed at 1.7ghz could indicate a need to adjust power configurations when connected, especially if performance improves with a charged battery. However, it shows a change in behavior when running on battery.
Check the settings menu or preferences section of the application.
Adjust your power plan in the Start Menu to High Performance and set it as high performance. If this doesn’t maintain stability, consider changing it in BIOS with a high DLP setting. Alternatively, you can enable the maximum CPU performance in Advanced Power Plan settings (around 90%) or try Advanced Settings to boost it to around 90%. In extreme cases, check Extended Task Manager for options like Permaboost. Essentially, you’re tricking the Intel power plan to avoid activation.
. Background processes and 11 loves caching as much RAM as possible. Is empty RAM wasted? It struggles to release it when a heavy app runs, which is why 8GB is the minimum for a working device today—no gaming needed. Kid you not, work laptop Outlook, Teams, and a few light tabs in Firefox with 17GB in use while 32 and 20.8GB are committed to virtual memory. Monday fresh boot, all set. If I switch to a 16GB or 8GB laptop, virtual RAM grows slightly but actual memory usage is around 11 on the 16GB and about 7 on the 8GB.
