Valorant is having trouble figuring out which screen to use for you
Hi, I recently bought a Gigabyte Aorus FI32Q-X 1440p 270hz monitor. When I open Valorant, my screen turns black for a second and then says "display port 3840x2160" on the game screen. After I switch alt-tab or close the game, it goes back to black and shows "Display port 2560x1440," which is the correct native resolution. The real issue is that even though my graphics settings are set for 1440p at 270hz, the monitor only shows 144hz when in fullscreen mode. When I run it in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, the 270hz actually comes through. Also, I'm confused why the resolution code says "GBT3207 (3840x2160 16:9)" on my monitor settings tab. Any help would be great!
I bought this new monitor but am getting the exact same problem as in Valorant. Has anyone else figured out how to fix this? By the way, I have an RTX 3080.
I turned off full-screen optimization in Valorant's settings, which might help.
I fixed my screen settings with that option and it works great. How about you? Have you tried running the game in windows instead of full-screen mode? It might be better, but I'm getting a little bit of lag if I keep pressing alt-tab to switch between apps.
