It's commonly used for keys, but some individuals claim they're black market keys.

Any computer store selling software. Its about your personal values whether you go with grey market keys or pay the full price ($30 or $80 for OEM key).

I chose the only option available, ensuring I can reach Microsoft whenever needed for assistance.

Those statements don’t make sense. The key is clear—you can’t dispute it. How sellers handle them and whether OEM sales are appropriate are separate issues. You’re only adding more confusion to the situation.

The best way to explain it is that the key is part of the license, but the key alone isn't a license—it's just the code needed to bypass DRM. The remaining elements include the invoice and all manuals or packaging that came with the product.

Continuing to confuse things seems unnecessary. The argument is getting worse.

I can confirm I’m not arguing, just dealing with misleading alerts about false data. You’re free to review the Eula yourself. Right now I’m on my phone, so I can’t be swayed by quotes. There’s a note saying a key and a license aren’t the same—Authorized Software and Activation. You’re allowed to use this program only if you have the right license and it’s been properly activated with a real product key or another approved method. This section is clearer: successful activation doesn’t guarantee the software is genuine or correctly licensed. For more details, check the official site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotel...ftwarePage. Except for product key cards with authenticity certificates, Microsoft doesn’t sell keys as standalone items. If you see such listings on auctions or classified sites, it usually means the keys are stolen or fake. TLDR: Microsoft doesn’t sell Windows this way on platforms like Reddit or Kinguin. I know because I’ve worked with a reseller who’s mostly based in China or Hong Kong.
