I need a connection for two devices – my PC and my CCTV system. The router is in another room, so I don’t want to run more cables across the ceiling. My old TP-Link ADSL2+ router works as a switch but only accepts ADSL inputs, not RJ45. Can I connect it to the internet using a LAN port? This is the TD-W8961N | 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router from TP-Link India.

Adjust the settings on your ADSL router to assign a fixed IP within the same network as your primary router and turn off DHCP so devices receive their address from the main router. Once done, everything should rely solely on the four yellow LAN ports functioning as a switch. It’s worth a shot—if it fails, consider a gigabit switch for better performance: https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-5-Port-Gi...B07S98YLHM
