I need a connection for two devices – my PC and my CCTV system. The router is in another room, so I don’t want to run more cables across the ceiling. My old TP-Link ADSL2+ router works as a switch but only accepts ADSL inputs, not RJ45. Can I connect it to the internet using a LAN port? This is the TD-W8961N | 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router from TP-Link India.
Adjust the settings on your ADSL router to assign a fixed IP within the same network as your primary router and turn off DHCP so devices receive their address from the main router.
