Hello, welcome to the forum. No worries if this query has been asked before. Are there options to reuse ISP-provided modems beyond their current uses like door stops or custom builds? Many suppliers don’t want them returned, but they might still be repurposable if someone knows how.

They can function as access points if custom DHCP ranges are supported or even better DHCP relay is available.

Connect to the device via SSH and perform a thorough reset. Secure any unauthorized ports. If possible, reinstall the original operating system onto the unit. Avoid reselling; this is illegal in most regions.

Apple enthusiasts, I thought that was the case but getting the firmware feels really tough. Do you recall seeing a non-standard flash for routers before?
