You're looking for better performance for gaming with less lag. A good PC Wi-Fi or Bluetooth adapter could help, but since you mainly need it for casual games, a Verizon mobile hotspot might be more practical than trying to improve your home connection.

As long as the mobile hotspot runs quickly enough, any PC should face no issues.

Think about placing the hotspot somewhere convenient inside the home, not in the basement where it might not work as intended.
