I've noticed some inconsistent connection problems with my ISP in Alabama. There are frequent ping spikes while playing R6. I wondered if using Azure as a VPS could provide a private VPN connection, leveraging Azure for their game servers. This might improve stability and reduce ping since your public IP would originate from Azure before reaching the game servers.

In theory, but you could be banned. Certain games identify VPN usage as cheating. Are you connected via Ethernet?

I'm staying in a college dorm and they don't provide me with an Ethernet connection. Also, I can't reach the router due to security reasons.

You wouldn't leave your existing link. Instead, you'd simply include another path. So, in practice, the opposite of what you need would actually happen.
