The game provides a solid solo play session without needing a computer connection. However, playing on a PC would likely enhance the visual quality.
30FPS is fine, but a graphics card can be costly. What’s your choice? (most affordable and top pick) Edit: I ran a stress test and only achieved 5FPS max. The image shown here comes from my graphics stress test—only 11FPS. (No antialiasing and at HD resolution.)
30 FPS is fine, but not suitable for VR. The lowspecgamer posted a video about running VR on a Vega and it worked, though only slightly. He didn’t recommend it. If the cheapest VR headset costs $300, you could invest that money in a GPU. For GPUs, I suggest models from the RX 570-580 or GTX 1060-1070 range—these are considered VR-friendly within budget. I found an RX 580 for around $150, which was really lucky. You might be able to get one for roughly $200–220.
You can now obtain quest 2 at up to 90hz through certain standalone apps.
