Using the "A" key with control pressed for sprinting does not function correctly
Since setting up my PC, I've experienced problems when using the A key together with Control while performing actions like sprinting and left crouching in Minecraft or playing CS:GO. This issue has resurfaced as my friends and I get back into the Minecraft community. It seems connected to the Windows Control + A shortcut. I've searched online but haven't found a matching solution yet. Any ideas?
Is this feature compatible with a keyboard tester? It could be related to how your keyboard handles rollover.
It might be from more affordable keyboards, though you could also be dealing with Keyboard Ghosting.
in minecraft the sprint option can be toggled, but pressing it might stop you from doing so.
still, i tend to assign any keys i frequently use with my pinkie to the mouse, since even basic gaming mice have two side buttons. maybe this could help with your problem.
I'm not sure how to use one of these, but when I press control + a it highlights everything on the page which I am assuming is not supposed to happen? But the A turns green...
I have been sprinting and crouching with control for years, I don't really want to change. I like using my pinky. Thanks for the idea, though!
I don't think so? Here is my keyboard:

The page says "
100% ANTI-GHOSTING 104 KEYS"
Also, the shortcut works in Windows. And control + other keys (like w s and d) works fine, it is JUST the "A" key.

They also turn orange when needed.
(Selecting the whole page is standard with Ctrl+A.)
Beyond confirming the game's controls, it's unclear what the issue or fix might be.
Consider using these alternatives:

or http://keyboardchecker.com
Navigate to the Windows accessibility options and disable them. They may occasionally lead to problems with n-key rollover.
