You're experiencing an issue where pressing 'G' on your keyboard opens tabs in Google Chrome instead of your current application. After uninstalling Chrome, it still opens a new tab in Internet Explorer when you press G repeatedly. Pressing G multiple times causes multiple tabs to appear.
