I need to connect two 8-pin cables using a single cable from the switch to the garage. I plan to merge them into one cable with four pins each, then split it again at the garage to create two smaller cables. This method works so far, but I'm curious about the reasoning. My goal is to carry PoE through one of these cables, and I want to confirm if that's feasible. Just a note, this might seem unusual, but one cable isn't intended for Ethernet traffic—it will handle an analog signal. That's why a switch wouldn't be suitable.

They're incredibly affordable, but there are reasons switches might not be ideal. Are you encountering any particular issues or limitations?
