I haven't used all of my RAM lately. I've attempted to adjust the maximum memory settings in msconfig, but it didn't help. If anyone has suggestions, please share. Your PC specifications are available in the attached screenshot. Thanks!

Typically, a few resistors are kept on standby. I'm confident what you're observing is typical.

During startup, access BIOS to verify the amount of VRAM (G) allocated for graphics processing units. Also, confirm that your RAM clock and speeds are configured accurately, and ensure it has the correct voltage settings.

Determine the appropriate V/RAM allocation based on your system requirements and power constraints.

Sorry for the delayed response. It depends on how you use your PC. For basic everyday tasks with 512MB–1GB, that should be sufficient as it keeps more RAM available for the system and applications. However, if you intend to play games—even older or less demanding ones—set it to the highest possible (usually 1.5–2GB).
