I’m choosing yes because it’s not labeled the motherboard for any reason. You’d just need to locate it yourself, as manufacturers aren’t very transparent about their designs. Of course, you might find information about common controller chips online.

Most are housed in TQFP or QFPC forms, requiring desoldering with a hot air gun—though a regular soldering iron can work too.
