I was just gaming Minecraft with a few pals, and I wondered if because Minecraft is quite memory-intensive, using more RAM would actually improve performance when loading levels.

I believe the issue lies in how poorly the game is optimized for the system. Unless you own an extremely powerful computer, I think adding more RAM wouldn't really make a big difference.

It's quite a strange game, just say the word and don't count on great visuals, it's not set up for anything special.
