Hello, yes it's possible. You can connect your Xiaomi phone to a 1080p monitor and run native Linux from it.

Only if someone has adapted a Linux setup to it, which is highly improbable.

You have the option, though I think not directly. You can run Linux, arrange a remote desktop connection, and use your phone to access it with a monitor. It may require some back-and-forth during setup, but it should work eventually.

It's currently operating on an Android device. Although not directly built for it, it functions through the phone's hardware. I've seen Linux run on older phones before. To view the screen, unless there have been updates since my last experience with Linux on a mobile device, you'll need to configure Remote Desktop on your Linux setup. Then connect your phone to a monitor using OTG, add a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and you're ready. This isn't the most efficient method, but it does work.

I misunderstood. You wanted to install Linux on a PC and connect your phone to it remotely?

Running a chroot inside it offers certain options, though apps suitable for this are rare. It’s more feasible if you’re using a Linux distribution that isn’t built on Android.

Which device model are you using? Touch support is available for several models, mainly resembling the Redmi and Poco series.
