Using Corsair H110 for overclocking FX-8350
Using Corsair H110 for overclocking FX-8350
You have a chance but it is based on the individual chip since some overclock better than others.
I'm going to say sure, but not for long. The FX-8350 Piledriver is a 125w TDP chip, while the binned, factory-overclocked version reaches 5.0GHz and is rated at 220w TDP. Your unbinned 8350 model running at those speeds should consume more power than that. Period reviews of the H-110 indicate, and Corsair tech support from that era only stated, "it generally can handle 140 watts without any problems."
Can I achieve 5GHz performance with the Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and H110? What are the CPU temperatures when idle and under load?
