I initially struggled to accept the information since the intel database indicated a very high supported resolution for the iGPU, along with the ability to display up to three screens simultaneously.

I wouldn't consider it a problem. Back in the year 2000, I worked as a technician and my computers had 1024 * 768 displays, whereas many of my clients still relied on CRT screens with 800 * 600 resolution. We didn't worry about external screens or projectors; we just used the laptops to talk about our business. When projectors became common, I replaced the laptops with another model that had an HDMI port for use with the projector.

IGPs have consistently handled multiple outputs at once. Refreshing a 4k30 stream requires just about 1GB/s of memory bandwidth. Handling high resolutions for everyday tasks isn't a major concern.

It seems my problem was with the resolution listed for the iGPU (3280x2000) being higher than what the discrete Nvidia one supports (2560×1600), which made me doubt it. LOL.
Now I'll just have to wait for the monitor then. 😄

The highest resolution support at 60Hz. When reducing to 30Hz, both should handle 4k as well.
