Hello everyone, I'm trying to link my Google Wi-Fi to my NordVPN service. I understand they offer a method for connecting to routers, but when searching for "Google Wi-Fi" there doesn't appear to be an option. Could using a middle ISP with a combined Google Wi-Fi and VPN connection be possible? Have others tried this before? If not, could you share any suggestions?

It's highly probable you could achieve this by placing a router or firewall between your ISP modem and Google WiFi, using devices like a USG, Sophos, or EdgeRouter.

The setup should function correctly if placed in the middle. I'll run a test and share a demo once confirmed. Thanks @MikeJones

In the majority of scenarios, incorporating a firewall or VPN into Google Wi-Fi disrupts mesh and other essential features.

How so? I want to put the vpn over that layer, I'm not quite sure if that will happen but that worries me a lot. I add a image of what I'm thinking of.

Ensure wireless and DHCP are disabled on the WRT router. Google Wi-Fi must manage IP assignment and network settings for the mesh system to function properly. The primary router should operate in NAT mode, while other devices must use bridge mode. If the WRT router is distributing IP addresses or managing Wi-Fi, you’ll face double-NAT, performance drops, and unstable connections—it won’t work well.
