Hello, I’ve been asking a lot of questions. Yes, I installed Windows on my new gaming PC, but since I didn’t have another machine to download Windows 10 onto, I used the USB I already had with Windows files. I also used that same USB to install Windows on another PC before. So far, everything seems normal—just like if I’d just downloaded it now.

You installed two copies of Windows using the same USB drive, and everything looks identical on both devices. You’ll just need to get additional updates instead of downloading the full Media Creation Tool from Microsoft directly.

It would be the same as using a new media creation tool to download Windows. Reusing the same USB drive for two installations with identical files wouldn’t change anything.

Only data transfers occur from the USB to the intended storage device, not through it.
